ATB Financial Invests in Calgary 2012 Legacy Project

Yesterday ATB Financial announced a $75,000 investment in Calgary 2012’s legacy micro donation site to support artists and cultural organizations. This is the first cash contribution from the corporate community in support of the Cultural Capital and will be matched by the Province of Alberta to bring the total support to $150,000.

Following on the national and international successful examples such as Kick Starter and Indie Go-Go, this locally focused online micro-financing and volunteer tool for cultural projects will be the first of its kind in Canada that we are aware of,” stated Karen Ball, Executive Director Calgary 2012. “We look forward to working with ATB Financial on this project that will serve as a model for other cities in Canada.”

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with Calgary 2012 and join in the celebration of Calgary as a Cultural Capital of Canada. The best part is, through this new site, Calgarians will have the chance to contribute directly to hundreds of cultural projects in communities all around the city,” said Peggy Garritty, Senior Vice President of Communications and Corporate Responsibility at ATB Financial.

  1. I belong to the Henry Wisewood Parent Music Society (HWWPMS) and we need to have companies to help out sponsor 1 of 10 kids that can’t afford to go on an educational music trip to New York in May 2012. They will be coached by musical teachers and get to see first hand the music world of New York. The trip per child would be $2,500.

If you require more information, please let me know and I can send any details you require.

Thank you for your time and letting me know if this is possible.
