It is a competitive world in the area of festivals and events. Canada’s Largest Ribfest, owned and operated by the Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore has set itself apart from the competition, locally, regionally and nationally. Earlier this month, under the direction of the Board and Club President Ed Eves the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ were hired to undertake a comprehensive sponsorship audit of the Ribfest. An onsite evaluation and experiential review of the event itself is being undertaken this month also with a full asset inventory identification and valuation for the Club and Ribfest.
This undertaking, done in the past by the Rotary Club of Calgary and their Stampede BBQ by the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™, will allow Ribfest to clearly differentiate itself from other festivals and events. Under the direction of the Ribfest founding co-chairs, John Thorpe and Robert Peeling, Ribfest will understand exactly what assets they have (tangible and intangible, traditional and non traditional) to be able to bundle together specific assets to met sponsors objectives in a custom designed proposal. This mission will also ensure that each asset is valued at real market pricing so that when Ribfest committee present proposals they and the sponsor know the true market value of the assets. This will truly allow Ribfest to stand out from other area and national events and festivals who have not yet undertaken such an audit.
Ribfest will also receive one on one mentoring and consulting from the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ to assist them in moving the program forward.
