Title: Marketing and Communications Advisor
Term: Full Time – Contract

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team oriented marketing and communication professional looking to take a company with diversified M&C needs by the horns and move it forward in an integrated and results oriented manner. This Calgary based head office position is a full time role with an ongoing renewable annual contract. The selected applicant will be a team player that can manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with each division within Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™. The Marketing and Communications Advisor will report directly to the Operations Manager with indirect reports and ongoing communication and interaction with the Client Services Director, Social Media Manager, Orange Door Direct (AOR), the SMCC Western Sponsorship Congress™ and SMCC One Day Workshop™ Series managers (Timewise Management) and the President.
The Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ is an integrated sponsorship consulting firm that provides services to both the organizations that sell sponsorship as well as the brands that buy sponsorships. In addition to the core consulting business, the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ also owns and operates two professional development properties for the industry. These are the SMCC Western Sponsorship Congress™ which is an industry leading annual professional development and networking conference hosted in Calgary with national delegate attendance of about 300 people and 35+ speakers annually. This is attended by both brands that buy sponsorships and properties that sell sponsorships. In addition to the SMCC Western Sponsorship Congress™ the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ also owns and operates a series of one day sponsorship training workshops specifically targeted to those organizations that sell sponsorships. Called the SMCC One Day Workshops™, these events are hosted coast to coast in Canada annually in seven to nine markets and delivering this training to over 300 industry professionals each year.
The Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ has been operating continuously for over a decade with head office based in Calgary. The team works from virtual offices and includes operations and administration staff; five consultants based in Newfoundland, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC serving consulting clients needs; business development staff and marketing support services as well as a contracted services event management team to operate the SMCC Western Sponsorship Congress™ and SMCC One Day Workshops™.
The ideal candidate for this position will have post secondary education in marketing and/or communications along with two to four years industry experience in PR, marketing, advertising, sponsorship and communications in multi platform environments. They will receive support from each part of the company to grow and be successful in all these areas. This broad range of responsibilities will ensure growth for the individual hired so they can use their existing expertise in the areas they have background in while being taught and developed in the balance of the responsibilities. The person selected to take on this amazing opportunity to shape this marketing and communications challenge will also be supported with an initial training program and ongoing professional development opportunities as part of their compensation program.

- Ability to manage multiple integrated projects from a marketing and communications perspective (Consulting Services, Training Services,Conferences, Newsletter, media)
- Search, audit and review of sponsorship marketing opportunities to drive business opportunities and build brand and profile
