FIFA and the National Organizing Committee recently announced a sponsorship agreement with Labatt Breweries of Canada. Labatt is the second National Supporter of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™. The agreement provides Labatt with extensive marketing rights within Canada for the next edition of the flagship tournament in women’s soccer, set to take place in Canada from June 6 to July 5, 2015.
Labatt has a strong history of supporting soccer in Canada, with existing team partnerships in Vancouver and Toronto. This sponsorship provides Labatt the opportunity to tap into the energy surrounding the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, with exciting fan activations set to be at the core of Labatt’s work.
The agreement is a strong symbol of the ever-increasing anticipation of the FIFA Women’s World Cup following the success of the 2011 tournament in Germany where soccer captured the imaginations of the crowds who flocked to the packed stadiums, in addition to the millions of television viewers all over the world.
Labatt is the second company to sign up as a National Supporter of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, following mobile telecommunications company Bell. In total, six National Supporter slots are available for the event.
