Managing Change

This TMC will be short and sweet. Based on recent conversations and happenings, I think the topic needs to be addressed again—but more succinctly.

 I have written about this before. We live in an ever-changing world whether it is due to technology, change in direction of our organization, or outside factors such as COVID 19. Reality Check is what I say—change is inevitable. Once you have accepted that, the rest is easy!

 I don’t think I can sum up the solution to managing change better than Socrates, who wrote over 2000 years ago: “The secret of change is to focus all your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” We need to embrace change and let “what we used to do” or “the way we used to do things” fade away, then innovate, and understand how to move forward in the new world of today.

It’s that simple!   1. Hi Brent,
    I agree with your perspective. Many organizations refuse to adapt to change. I feel as if sometimes this is caused by decision-makers within organizations being of a different generation.
    The industry will prosper even more once decision-makers and organizations adapt to change.
