Red Deer College Re-Organizes Revenue Development

Last month Red Deer College re-organized its advancement and revenue development programs taking truly a leadership role in this area, which has become necessary with the recent budget cuts to the province’s post-secondary educational institutions.  Virtually all direct revenue channels for the college outside tuition are now overseen by RDC’s Enterprise and Community Relations Division, led by Vice President Michael Donlevy. That includes the traditional advancement and fund development departments as well as Continuing Education and ancillary revenue sources, including College-wide sponsorships.

With the shift, RDC has clearly recognized the importance of building internal capacity within the College for sponsorship revenue generation. In addition, the integrated division will work cohesively to embrace donors, sponsors, stakeholders and services purchasers and fill their specific needs through custom program development.  In these changing times Red Deer College has taken the lead to ensure that organizations who want training services, facility rental and sponsorship marketing services as well as support the school with a donation, can be supported by a cohesive team rather than different silo departments providing services individually versus in an integrated fashion.

The Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists™ has been selected as the sponsorship agency of record to assist in the program development and internal capacity building.
