OK, not really a secret after this publishes. But anyway, in the last year there have been a ton of milestones in my life. Last week’s TMC focused on a big one… then there were some in June and last October.

Last October my wife Coryna Kulba and myself celebrated 25 years of marriage. She has been the backbone of our success. Always supportive and covering off what I miss. Without her and her support and dedication we never would have announced that milestone last week of the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists 25th anniversary as well. In June I announced 17 years since I quit smoking and on July 1, I marked 30 years of sobriety. If that is not enough there was one more milestone. Then I am done for a long time!!!

Last week I reached a milestone set by society but which I refuse to accept as society has outlined it. I officially became a senior citizen… I turned 65. That is supposed to be retirement age… well I am far from that. I look forward to continuing to do what I love and that is working with our clients and small but mighty team from coast to coast and delivering them all success. Last week in my TMC I highlighted a series of new products and tools we are launching over the next year as we use this our 25th anniversary year to set the stage for the next 25 years and beyond.

Don’t get me wrong… I am excited to turn 65. I am eligible for all the discounts now… grocery stores to pharmacies, restaurants to free ferry rides on BC Ferries and so much more. Professionally we look to launch our industry leading conference the Western Sponsorship Congress® from beyond Edmonton and Saskatchewan to BC, Ontario and into Atlantic Canada along with a WSC® Municipal Summit in the west.  I am excited about our growth and support for the industry and that is what makes me say that 65 is a milestone in years but it marks the turning point for me for getting bigger and better to service our clients and future clients.

Thank you for reading and for the motivation to do all of this. And I hope to see you all in Edmonton in November for the 21st annual Western Sponsorship Congress® – Alberta Forum.

Pushing the Envelope

Recently I had conversations with a few clients who feel they are being “used” and that is not what a partnership is all about. Either their prospective partners or existing partners keep asking them for “more”. Ugh… I can relate. As an agency we get it all the time....

Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists® Anniversary

Earlier this month… actually Sunday September 6 on the long weekend… we turned 25 years old. We were incorporated in 2001, just days before 9/11.  It has been an amazing 25 year run and looking forward to decades more! We started to look back, a few people have asked...

The Lighter Side

I figure it is the day after Labor Day. Basically, the summer experience is over. Kids back in school and back to the grind at work. (Lol… like anyone in the sponsorship industry got to take the summer off.) So, I thought we would ease back in with some thoughtful...
