Dale Hooper Hired to Lead ROGERS Media Marketing

As reported by Marketing Magazine earlier this week in Marketing Daily AM, Keith Pelley has added another big-name player to his Rogers Media team, hiring Dale Hooper as senior vice-president of sales and marketing.

Most recently vice-president of marketing and insights for PepsiCo Beverages Canada (one of Marketing’s Top 10 Marketers of the Year in 2010), Hooper joins Rogers on Feb. 22. Dale was a speaker at the 2010 Western Sponsorship Congress as well.

Rogers media is a collection of diverse assets and we needed a strong marketing mind to help integrate all our brands. Dale was the perfect candidate,” said Pelley, who took over as Rogers Media president in September and hired Scott Moore away from CBC as president of Rogers Broadcasting soon after.

Pepsi breeds excellent business leaders and Dale will join a stellar group of Pepsi alumni at Rogers which includes Rob Bruce, president of communications, and John Boynton, Rogers [CMO],” said Pelley.

Hooper will report directly to Pelley, who cited Hooper’s partnership marketing experience with major sports organizations, record labels and networks as a key factor his hiring.
Hooper will develop sales and marketing strategies and campaigns for all Rogers Media properties across all platforms.

These are just one person’s thoughts.
