Yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving. And I have a lot to be thankful for. Yesterday was my wife and my 25th wedding anniversary. I am so grateful and thankful for Coryna being in my life and supporting me in all I do. She is my rock and best friend. I am grateful and thankful for our daughter Brooklyn as she thrives at university in Montreal. She is an amazing kid and has accomplished so much and is so giving. I am thankful for my health. It was two years ago yesterday that I was released from the Foothills Hospital in Calgary after having been there for 18 days having suffered a heart attack on business travel. But now I am healthy and excited about life.
Then when I stop to think about all the people who helped me to get where I am today, I am very grateful. Of course, my parents and siblings. That goes without saying and I am eternally grateful to them all. As well, teachers and sport coaches and guidance councillors and employers and mentors. Throughout my life I have been blessed with people who gave me a hand up or a push back to get further ahead. I have had people there along my journey in life to support me this entire way.
And today I have an awesome team at the Partnership Group – Sponsorship Specialists® who help me and the company to serve our clients and grow and prosper. I am indebted to these folks. And where would we be without our clients, past and present. The ones who have opened their doors to let us in and assist them to success. For those folks I am equally grateful.
And that brings me to a very big thanksgiving thought. Right now, at the Partnership Group Sponsorship Specialists® we are entering our 25th year of operation. This all started in early September 2001 and we have been continuously operating for over 24 years. I learned from a group I am with not to count my chickens before they hatch, but I am excited to have our company working today in our 25th year and look forward to a celebration of our 25th birthday next September.
There is so much to be thankful for in my world today when I stop to think about it. I encourage you this week to think about what you are grateful for professionally and personally and then reach out to some of those people and say thank you.
