IBC Sponsors Canadian Women’s Hockey League for 2014-15 Season

Drive Now. Text Later. Live Longer.  This is one of several road safety messages that Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) will deliver to women’s hockey fans across Canada as a new lead sponsor of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL).

As part of the CWHL sponsorship, IBC will educate the public on road safety issues and on how to avoid becoming a victim of auto insurance fraud. A 30-second TV spot featuring a “Don’t text while driving” message will launch on Sportsnet during CWHL’s first All-Star Game on December 13.

Over the last 10 years, IBC has taken its road safety campaign to fairs, festivals, malls and events across Canada. IBC uses interactive educational displays to engage and entertain the public while educating them on how to lead safer lives and protect their property.

“We are grateful to IBC for their partnership in promoting our league and women’s hockey,” said Brenda Andress, CWHL’s Commissioner. “Their support will help us further our mission to build hockey dreams and develop the next generation of women leaders.”
