CBC Hires Kozak for Olympic Partnership

Marketingmag.ca reported recently that CBC has tapped Jim Kozak as director of sales, Olympics and sports partnerships.

Kozak, previously director of consumer promotions at Kraft Canada, will oversee sales for a number of the public broadcaster’s big name sports products, including the 2014 and 2016 Olympic Games, Pan-Am Games and the FIFA World Cup, among others.

Prior to making the jump from Kraft to CBC, Kozak worked with the CBC team on numerous projects. CBC’s revenue group general manager Alan Dark said Kozak’s experience with CBC’s Kraft Hockeyville program and other sponsorship programs with the NHL and NHLPA have prepared him for the position.

“He brings an impressive sports marketing background and a wealth of experience to our strong leadership team,” Dark said. “Having Jim take on this exciting challenge positions us well as we work towards the 2014 Olympic Games and beyond.”

Kozak said he is “looking forward to helping create unique, industry-leading opportunities for our partners with these world-class properties.”
