Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

As I do each year at this time, I want to take this opportunity to wish you, your family, and colleagues a very Merry Christmas! To those who have other spiritual celebrations at this time, including the Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Pagan, and Zoroastrian communities, all of which occur in December, may you enjoy the peace and serenity of this holy time.

Like every year, this one has been unique. I am grateful for this entire past year and would like to recognize some of the things I am grateful for and wish to celebrate.

Over the past year, my wife and I watched our “little girl” graduate from high school and then travel thousands of miles to go out on her own to attend McGill University in Montreal. We became empty nesters overnight but were able to travel for three weeks across the State of Maine and the three maritime provinces after we dropped Brooklyn at university. I am so grateful that our daughter has spread her wings and become even more independent than she already was—and also thankful for the time my wife and I are now spending together.

Though there were increased health scares with me and my three remaining siblings (heart disease x2, incremental cancers and physical/sciatic nerve issues), all seem to be doing OK and managing their situations. But all were eye-opening and hopefully each of us has taken away new insights, knowledge, and willingness to make changes in our lifestyles. I am grateful that each of us is still alive and moving forward.

From a work perspective, we were blessed, and I am appreciative of a fantastic year of amazing clients whom we have been able to assist in the ongoing development of their successful sponsorship programs. I am also very thankful for all those clients who stuck by us, and with me personally when I had to take time off to recover from my heart attack this fall.

I can only hope and pray that, over the next few weeks, each of you will have the opportunity to celebrate that which your faith proclaims, spend quality time with your family and friends, and enjoy your health and presence on this earth.

When think about all the cultural celebrations during this time of year, there is one underlying theme. No matter what issues affect our health or economy, the state of our finances, or other factors in our professional or personal lives, this season provides us with a message of love, sharing, and kindness that should abound among us and that we should all be grateful for what we have.

My family and I are most grateful for our health, friends, family, and the ability to be together and celebrate Christmas. Some family members and friends who were with us in the past will not be at the table in person this year, but they will be there in our hearts.

From my wife, daughter, and me, and our entire team at the Partnership Group–Sponsorship Specialists®, have a very Merry Christmas and happy holiday season.

Our thoughts and love are with you and yours as you celebrate this time of year.
