This week, the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group announced it is partnering with TELUS to provide free Wi-Fi at TD Place and unique content for OSEG’s sports franchises, promising Canada’s most advanced fan experience.
Under the 10-year-deal, TELUS will be the official telecommunications supplier for TD Place, the Ottawa RedBlacks, Ottawa Fury and Ottawa 67’s.
“Several years ago, when we began researching the elements that differentiate a good fan experience from a great one, we learned that free high-speed Wi-Fi and access to unique content were critically important,” OSEG CEO Bernie Ashe said in a statement. “TELUS understands it’s not just about the technology; it’s about enhancing relationships with guests and giving them the ability to exchange information, photos and videos with friends in the stadium or anywhere in the world, without thinking about bandwidth or data plan minutes.”
TELUS will operate Cisco StadiumVision at TD Place, providing live coverage, unique video features and other material on the more than 400 high definition screens throughout the stadium.
The partnership also means football fans will have access to RedBlacks-related content on the official RedBlacks app, which was designed by TELUS.
